JARED DISCOVERED A PASSION FOR DRAWING AND DESIGN AT AN EARLY AGE WHILE GROWING UP IN A SMALL TOWN IN RURAL ARKANSAS. BEING SURROUNDED BY THE VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE OF THE OZARKS AND THE FLORA OF THE COUNTRYSIDE WOULD PROVIDE PIVOTAL INSPIRATION FOR A FUTURE DESIGNING ALLURING AND IMPASSIONED, YET SIMPLY FUNCTIONAL SPACES.

Jared Skinner is an award-winning designer whose work is shaped by curiosity, craft, and a deep respect for the environments we build in. Raised in Northwest Arkansas, his early connection to landscape and material continues to inform an approach that values restraint, authenticity, and longevity.

He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas and was selected to study at the UA Rome Center, an experience that broadened his understanding of history, urbanism, and the layered narratives embedded in place. Extensive travel through Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America further refined his perspective, reinforcing a belief that thoughtful design emerges from listening closely—to context, culture, and the people who inhabit it.

In 2014, Jared founded Made Design, now StudioARKTX, with the intention of questioning conventional boundaries of the built environment. His work approaches design as a collaborative process—one that balances clarity with experimentation and prioritizes meaningful user experience over trends. Grounded in material honesty and careful detailing, his projects seek to feel considered, timeless, and quietly expressive.

Jared has collaborated with a diverse range of clients, from emerging startups to global brands, including Greystar Real Estate Partners, SBE, Apple, GFF, Corgan, Chase for Business, Spire Realty, EMAAR, McKinsey & Company, and Starbucks.
